Description

We are in search of a highly talented Maintenance Manager with a solid background in the food sector.

The perfect candidate will possess extensive management expertise, in-depth knowledge of food safety procedures, expertise in SQF auditing, and a proven ability to solve safety and quality issues.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Mechanics or a related field from a university or technical institution.
- Commercial Electrician Certificate and Basics of Programming Certificate.
- Proficiency in Internal Mechanical and Electrical skills.
- Minimum of 5 years in a supervisory position in maintenance mechanics within the food industry.
- Over 4 years of managerial experience leading a department of similar size.
- Thorough understanding of food safety rules and SQF standards.
- Established track record in dealing with complex problem-solving regarding safety and quality.
- Process-driven mindset focusing on efficiency and continuous enhancement.
- Superior administration and management abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Management:
- Lead and oversee the maintenance department, managing all equipment maintenance, repairs, and installations.

Food Safety:
- Ensure conformity with food safety regulations and standards by establishing and maintaining efficient protocols to preserve product quality and safety.

SQF Auditing:
- Carry out SQF audits and ensure compliance with SQF requirements throughout the facility.

Problem-Solving:
- Apply robust problem-solving skills to tackle intricate safety, quality, and maintenance process issues.

Process Orientation:
- Create and execute effective maintenance processes and procedures to enhance equipment performance and reduce downtime.
- Handle administrative duties including budgeting, resource allocation, and staff management within the department.

Supervision:
- Provide direction and support to maintenance teams, ensuring top performance and adherence to safety standards.

Education and Training:
- Collaborate with internal teams to offer training in mechanical and electrical skills, basics of programming, and other relevant areas.
