Job Description
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) oversees projects, ensuring code quality, meeting acceptance criteria, unit testing, and managing processes. They will plan, lead, organize, and motivate teams to deliver high-quality, enterprise-level agile programs. The SPM role oversees Agile teams in a fast-paced enterprise environment, ensuring compliance with development processes and standards.
Additionally, they will develop a project oversight approach, blending traditional project management principles with Agile development to achieve goals within constraints and coach team members to optimize efficiency and product quality.
Working closely with the Process Owners, Subject Matter Experts and Release Managers, the SPM will facilitate and guide the teams through agile practices and ceremonies, including backlog grooming sessions, sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, sprint demos, and retrospectives with a focus on producing high-quality, bug-free code that meets the needs of the business and member community.
The TPM will keep the Program Manager apprised on a weekly basis of the activities, roadblocks, and progress of each team.
One of the main goals of the TPM is to provide a "no surprises" environment for the Program Manager, the user community, and executive management.
Responsibilities
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university including or supplemented by 12 credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting, and/or actuarial science and four years of satisfactory full-time experience implementing the provisions of a retirement plan involving the use of mathematical, statistical, actuarial or accounting computations, 18 months of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity or supervising professionals implementing the provisions of a retirement plan involving the use of mathematical, statistical, actuarial or accounting computations; or
2. An associate degree or 60 credits from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 12 credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting and/or actuarial science and six years of satisfactory full-time experience as indicated in "1"; or
3. Education and/or experience equivalent to "1" or "2" above.
However, all candidates must have 60 credits from an accredited college or university, including or supplemented by 12 credits in mathematics, statistics, accounting and/or actuarial science and the 18 months of experience in a supervisory, administrative, managerial or executive capacity as described in "1" above.
