    JOB SUMMARY

    As aBuyer, you will be performing purchasing duties for the rigs or onshorelocations in accordance with relevant Company Policies and Procedures

    JOB SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Use only company approved suppliers;requests for new suppliers must be reviewed and approved by the ProjectProcurement Supervisor and Project Procurement Manager
    • Process purchase requisitions, ensuringtangible materials are assigned with Seadrill's internal catalogue numbers,and execute in order of priority.
    • Ensure Fixed Pricing Agreements withSuppliers are being used to maximize cost savings and automation.
    • Actively work with Procurement Managersand Category Managers to identify optimal procurement strategies.
    • Source materials, services, and evaluatepricing proposals as per the relevant company and local procedures.
    • Follow up promptly clarifications andrequests for information from Suppliers or the Rig
    • Prepare Purchase Orders using Company Approvedsoftware(s).
    • Ensure Company Policies & Proceduresregarding Approval Process, Authority, SOX Compliance and FCPA are strictlyfollowed.
    • Review all material and servicerequisitions (repair & return included) in terms of quantities, pricing,specifications, account coding, authorization limits, priority, urgency, foraccurate preparation of Purchase Orders.
    • Constantly review and assess theeconomics of local purchase against foreign purchase with consideration givento quality, certification, costs, and lead times.
    • Continuously review all open PurchaseOrders and expedite overdue and outstanding PO's with Suppliers
    • Process Invoices and Assist AccountPayables with invoice discrepancies.
    • Maintain a general knowledge of CompanySupply Chain and Financial Procedures
    • Document procurement problems to alloweffective resolution and prevention.
    • Resolve procurement related incidentsreported by the end users
