    Description

    Chapman Mazda in Phoenix is looking for an experienced Automotive Technician to join our team Our qualified service professionals are committed to keeping our customers' vehicles running like new by performing routine maintenance services and high quality repairs using genuine Mazda parts in our climate-controlled shop.
    As a technician at Chapman Mazda, you will work closely with other technicians, Service Advisors and the Parts Department, and report to the Service Manager.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Test, diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems, including engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
    • Complete thorough vehicle inspections and inform the Service Advisor of any additional services needed, estimating the time needed to complete additional repairs
    • Perform work on the repair order per dealership processes
    • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
    • Perform quality control checks for repaired vehicles to ensure repairs are complete

    Desired Qualifications and Experience:

    • A minimum of 6 months of automotive service experience required
    • ASE certified or certification from an automotive technical school required
    • Must have your own tools and tool box
    • Outstanding attention to detail and accuracy
    • Analytical with strong troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
    • Must work well in a team environment, and be able to stand for extended periods
    • A valid driver's license and clean driving record are required
    • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check

    Hours and Work Environment

    Shifts will be Tuesday – Saturday with Sunday and Mondays off.
    The Service Department is open 7am – 6pm weekdays and 7am – 4pm on Saturdays.
    We ask that all applicants have availability to work during the department's business hours.
    Our technicians enjoy a fast-paced, high-volume, climate-controlled shop.
