    Description

    Allied Universal is seeking a mid-senior-level Business Development Manager to execute B2B outside sales. This consultative sales professional will be responsible for the company's Education and Healthcare vertical sales within a specified region, reporting to the VP of Sales.

    This role is responsible for helping the organization obtain better brand recognition and financial growth by expanding and enhancing Education and Healthcare prospects and clients with complex buying processes.

    ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Those duties necessary to meet the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned:

    • and oversee new market initiatives within assigned region.
    • the latest in the industry, as well as organizations and individuals to find new opportunities and expand business.
    • work to increase the value of current customers while attracting new ones.
    • with and collaborate with Operations on current existing Education and Healthcare clients with respect to proposal and financial retention strategies.
    • and develop a first-class salesforce channel.
    • relationship builder with extensive knowledge of universities and healthcare facilities.
    • and develop new markets to improve sales for the region Education and Healthcare verticals.
    • conferences, meetings, and industry events.
    • quotes and proposals for prospective clients.
    • and achieve goals for the development of the Education and Healthcare verticals.
    • with the Director of Vertical Markets to develop strategic and tactical action plans for each new prospect or targeted client in assigned territory.
    • a strong understanding of the company and the services offered, as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive.

    Formal Education, Licenses, and Certifications Required:

    • ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
    • least 4-5 years of outside sales experience in a B2B environment, preferably within an educational or healthcare market.
    • in the security industry is a plus.
    • true hunter with a proven track record of excellence in sales activity (awards, top rankings, etc.) using consultative sales techniques to succeed.
    • communication, organization, and writing skills.
    • to manage complex projects and successfully multi-task.
    • ability to work in a team-oriented sales environment that allows for collaboration with the operations team, in order to identify and resolve issues and concerns.
    • experience strategically planning sales calls, sales presentations, and cold calling.
    • training on strategic consultative selling techniques.
    • using a formal and defined sales process.
    • effective leader with the ability to build strong relationships internally with all levels of the organization, as well as manage difficult service delivery timeframes.
    • to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty.

    Ability to travel throughout all areas of the territory, including frequent overnight travel.
