Are you a payroll specialist and ready to take the next step in your career? Laird Noller Ford Topeka, a family-owned and locally operated dealership since 1960, is the fastest-growing dealer group in Northeast Kansas. Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: Topeka, Kansas
Compensation: Starting at $17/hr depending on experience
Responsibilities:
Process payroll accurately and on time for all employees
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations
Calculate and input wage and hour adjustments, including overtime and bonuses
Handle payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments
Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve discrepancies
Generate payroll reports
Provide excellent customer service to employees regarding payroll inquiries
- Meet deadlines for payroll
Ensure records are up to date and in place
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of payroll experience, preferably in the automotive industry
Strong knowledge of payroll processing software (ADP, Paycom, Netchex, etc.)
Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information is a must
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
