    Exciting Opportunity as a Preparedness Administrative Assistant (Administrative Assistant 2)

    Are you ready to join our team as an Administrative Support Specialist in the Preparedness Section? Reporting to the Preparedness Section Manager, you'll support programs such as preparedness planning, assessments, and State Emergency Management Training and Exercise initiatives. Your role involves thorough analysis, evaluation, research, and interpretation for effective administrative duties.     Kindly note this is a temporary position scheduled to end on 06/30/2025, with the possibility of extension based on agency requirements and budget approval.

    What We Are Seeking

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Three years of secretarial or administrative support experience, including coordinating office procedures, preparing reports, and data analysis; OR,
    • An associate degree in office occupations plus two years of support experience; OR,
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

    Desired Attributes:

    • Experience in engaging with government and Tribal partners on complex programs.
    • Customer communication skills.
    • Project and program management experience, preferably in Planning, Training, and/or Exercise programs.
    • Analytical and process improvement skills.
    • Knowledge of NIMS, ICS, and emergency management principles.
