    Description

    We're currently seeking a reliable individual to join our team. This role primarily involves the preparation of cafe staples such as sandwiches, bagels, and parfaits, alongside responsibilities like dishwashing and assisting with weekend morning baking. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to upholding cleanliness and food safety standards.

    Responsibilities:

    • Prepare menu items following established recipes.
    • Maintain kitchen cleanliness by assisting with dishwashing and adhering to sanitation protocols.
    • Ensure compliance with food safety practices, including proper handwashing and temperature control.
    • Assist with baking duties during weekend mornings to support cafe operations.
    • Prepare core ingredients to support preparation of menu items such as jams, sauces, syrups, concentrates, and slicing deli meat.
    • Monitor ingredient inventory levels and communicate any shortages to management.

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience in food preparation or a related role is preferred.
    • Basic knowledge of food safety practices, including sanitation and hygiene standards.
    • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
    • Availability to work weekends required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
