Communications Specialist

As a Communications Specialist supporting Internal Communications and Employee Engagement, you will be trusted to think creatively and develop compelling communications programs.


HOW A COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Participates in the development, revision, and delivery of internal and external communications materials
  • Work with internal communications team to develop and execute on employee communication and engagement projects, including writing content for internal channels and organizing events.
  • Support GDIT TouchPoint (newsletter) and digital signage to increase awareness of and understanding of all GDIT has to offer; drafting content, evaluating and analyzing metrics, deploying best practices and new tools.
  • Partner with functional teams (Human Resources, CIO Services, Finance, Growth, etc.) and the divisions to define and support their employee communications objectives aligned to corporate strategy.
  • Proactively identify and pursue opportunities to improve outreach and engagement across the organization.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, business, or similar discipline
Required Experience: 2+ years of related experience

  • In lieu of degree, 6 years of related experience is required.
  • Ability to collaborate with stakeholders in a positive manner.
  • Ability to multitask and take initiative.
  • Must be a creative and strategic thinker.
  • Experience with creating and designing webbased content on SharePoint
  • Location: Hybrid

The likely salary range for this position is $57,866 - $74,750. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.

Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
