    Position: Senior Food Scientist and Product Development Manager (US)

    Reports to: Co-Founder & CTO

    Location: Seattle (looking for Seattle based applicants only)

    We are looking for a Senior Food Scientist and Product Development Manager to join our small, dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and managing all critical product developments for TiNDLE, including the support with product launches across retail and foodservice. As a Senior Food Scientist and Product Development Manager you'll be responsible in overseeing the process of creating or improving products from start to finish, working with a team to ensure that the products meet consumer needs and business goals.

    Job Description:

    • Conducting market research to identify customer needs and preferences.
    • Developing product strategies that align with company goals and customer needs.
    • Collaborate with marketing on visuals, product concepts and prototypes.
    • Preparing cost analysis when developing a new product.
    • Presenting new ideas/opportunities to executives.
    • Ensuring every step of the product development process proceeds as planned.
    • Making adjustments to product plans when things aren't working or need change.
    • Evaluate new raw materials, ingredients, and flavours from suppliers and use them to create new product attributes.
    • Monitor market and consumer trends and recommend product portfolio pipeline to keep Company ahead of the market.
    • Develop and implement new texturization and taste technologies.
    • Scale up the innovations with our manufacturing partners.
    • Implement our products and technologies at our production partners.
    • Development of new recipes and collaborate closely with customers or partners.
    • Be a great brainstormer and team player.
    • Maintain ongoing communication with different stakeholders to share on emerging new ingredients, packaging, and technology.

    Key Requirements, Experience and Qualification

    • 8+ years' experience in Food Technology and Product Development with proven track record of initiative, innovation and research productivity. Ideally with vegan/vegetarian food.
    • At least a bachelor's degree in food technology/food science.
    • Experienced in a B2B/B2C food/ingredient/flavour manufacturing environment.
    • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (HACCP, BRC, ISO
    • Knowledge of extrusion
    • Strong Communication, Organizational, Process Management, Analytical Skills.
    • Team player and good communication skills.
    • Proactive, willing to be highly engaged and hands-on.
    • Highly energized individual with a can-do attitude.
    • Language English, French (preferred), any additional language is a plus.
