Founded in 1978 in Seattle, Washington, Legal Voice is a nonprofit civil rights advocacy organization fighting for social justice and gender liberation in the Pacific Northwest.
We challenge patriarchal and racist power structures to widen pathways to justice so that all people can live their lives with dignity, safety, and autonomy.
Legal Voice has continually evolved and changed to meet the growing needs and has expanded to serve communities in Idaho, Washington, Alaska, Oregon, and Montana.

Legal Voice lifts the voices of our community partners, and they guide our work as we address their issues through education, advocacy, and legal action at the state and federal levels.
Position Overview:
Legal Voice is seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Development Manager to join our team. The Development Manager will play a vital role in shaping and executing the organization's fundraising strategy.
This role is perfect for an individual who is passionate about social justice, has strong communication skills, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This is a hybrid position with weekly in-office days at our office in downtown Seattle.Responsibilities:
Database Management
Maintain accuracy and consistency of data among several different Legal Voice databases, including Donor Perfect.
Process, record, and track gifts, pledges, and event revenue in a timely manner.
Ensure donors receive pledge reminders and timely, personal acknowledgements for their gifts.
Query and analyze donor and gift data to help inform fundraising strategies.
Generate campaign, event, and contribution reports.
Fundraising, Campaigns, and Stewardship
Manage specific campaigns to bring in and retain donors.
Draft direct mail pieces and corresponding donor acknowledgments.
Track campaigns and evaluate successes.
Collaborate with the team during the Workplace Giving Season.
Develop fundraising strategy with the team and set priorities, goals, and budgets.
Engage with donors in a meaningful way and collaborate with the team to build a donor community.
Assist with and/or lead major giving efforts.
Establish and maintain contact with potential financial supporters including private and public organizations.
Collaborate with the team to keep the board members informed and engaged.
Events and Communication
Participate in and lead, when applicable, event planning committees.
Provide support for donor cultivation and stewardship events.
Collaborate with all staff for the annual fundraising event in spring.
Collaborate with communications team during campaigns, events, and when sharing information with the community.
Maintenance of Constant Contact and other communication data as necessary.
Occasional work hours on weekend/after-hours.

Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of experience in development/fundraising.
Clear understanding of the Development sector.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Understanding of CRM tools, Donor Perfect is a plus.
Familiarity with content management systems.
Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Ability to perform multiple tasks requiring considerable exercise of independent judgment and time management.
Understanding of Community Centric Fundraising movement preferred.
Knowledge of gender equity and LGBTQ+ rights issues preferred.
Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships on behalf of an organization.
Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively with staff, outside consultants, other organizations, and volunteers with diverse backgrounds.
Salary & Benefits :
This full-time position has a salary range $75k - 85k, depending on experience.
