    About the Role

    The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Manager is part of the accounting/finance team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Finance and indirectly to the Vice President of Operations. This position will work within the MJR CSC (corporate) team to support and effectively manage financial operations. Responsibilities will also include day-to-day financial analysis, creating financial models, budgeting and forecasting, data analysis, building business cases for new investments, supporting strategic decision making, and presenting financial reports to upper management.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate with Kinepolis Group on global finance and accounting projects
    • Prepares and distributes Management Reporting (MRF) P&L
    • Works closely with accounting to ensure an accurate monthly closing
    • Provides variance analysis vs budget, forecast, previous period and last year
    • Provide analysis on business results, financial KPI's, benchmarking and important business drivers
    • Preparation of business cases for new projects/investments and follow up reporting on same to determine if returns/objectives have been achieved
    • Coordinates and supports annual budgeting, periodical financial forecasts and capex plans
    • Compiles annual budget with direction and guidelines from senior management
    • Identifies inefficiencies and provides processes for improvement
    • Ensures management reporting complies with organizational guidelines
    • Identifies business risks and abnormalities, collaborates with applicable levels to mitigate risk and reduce gaps
    • Advises Vice President of Operations on assumptions of business planning
    • Prepares and submits local statutory filings and business licenses (annual)
    • Provide training and development to theatre management on monthly reporting process

    Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 5 years + of progressive experience with a minimum of 2-3 years experience outside of public accounting, preferably in an analytical and/or reporting environment
    • CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Experience with financial planning and modeling, forecasting, and budgeting
    • Strong analytical competencies with ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
    • Comfortable in presenting recommendations in areas of expertise
    • Ability to work independently and remotely
    • Engaged in finding solutions and efficiencies
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Experience in the entertainment industry is a plus
