    Description

    Research Associate Position - Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics

    Location: Philadelphia, PA

    Description:

    • The Division of Translational Medicine and Human Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania is looking for Research Associates in the Academic Support Staff.
    • Initial appointment for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and funding availability (up to three years).
    • Requires expertise in biochemistry, specifically in lipid metabolism and cardiovascular disease, alongside some exposure to bioinformatics/data mining.
    • Minimum 3-5 years of postdoctoral experience and an M.D. or Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree are mandatory.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide intellectual and technical support for research projects.
    • Manage and develop projects, supervise students and research staff, write grant proposals, and present research at scientific gatherings.

    The selected candidate will enhance skills in genetic regulation of lipid metabolism through both laboratory and computational work, sponsored by a research program.
