    Research Associate Position - Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism



    Location: Philadelphia, PA



    Open Date: Mar 15, 2024



    Deadline: Mar 15, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time



    The Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is looking for candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff.

    This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

    Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree.

    Responsibilities may include experiments related to determining mechanisms underlying the functions of nuclear receptors and their in vivo by developing novel methods of gene transcription and analysis in liver and brain using functional genomic approaches. The ultimate goal is to understand mechanisms underlying diabetes and obesity.

    The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop an individualized training experience in research that helps them achieve personal career objectives while growing in an academic setting.

    The position requires a minimum of three years of postdoctoral research experience.

    The Research Associate will collaborate with other lab members in their research areas and contribute effectively.

    Candidates must have demonstrated outstanding qualifications in research.
