- Serve as a liaison between the business/customer and the delivery team, advocating for the expectations of all stakeholder segments.
- Lead the development and delivery of approved projects supporting consumer capabilities and lines of coverage, including consumer engagement, core health, and ancillary offer development.
- Define user stories and assist team members in their creation.
- Collaborate with the product manager to ensure customer needs and business priorities are accurately reflected in the product backlog.
- Facilitate the execution of product priorities by collaborating with stakeholders and team members to define user stories and manage team/sprint backlog in coordination with delivery teams.
- Break down features into stories or smaller work items to facilitate team execution and delivery.
- Utilize input from the Product Manager and stakeholders to align the product vision with user stories.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) teams, fostering a One Company One Team mindset.
- Perform business analysis, gather requirements, write user stories, and conduct testing.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of product design or delivery documents for assigned projects.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with various stakeholders, teams, vendors, and senior management.
- Develop or update job aids for new or enhanced products.
- Ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Develop and maintain business knowledge within the assigned business area. Possess project management skills and a deep understanding of revenue strategy and quality programs within Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, DSNP, Employer Group Waiver Plan (EGWP), and PDP.
- Provide timely and accurate production support for daily issues in the support queue.
- Conduct business validation testing after releases, as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree or advanced degree (if required).
- 3+ years of experience in a related field.
- In lieu of a degree, 5+ years of experience in a related field.
- Proficiency with JIRA and Confluence.
- Extensive knowledge of Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, DSNP, EGWP, and PDP.
- Product Owner (Scrum Alliance or SAFe) Certification

Reporting to the Manager of Product Development in the Digital Strategy team, this role will lead product development efforts targeting the Medicare market, addressing the needs of both direct shoppers and agents.The Product Owner will leverage industry expertise to oversee the strategy and implementation of projects and yearly renewals for Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, Dual Special Needs Plans (DSNP), and Prescription Drug Plans (PDP). We are looking for a proactive individual with robust technical skills who can adeptly communicate intricate details to facilitate informed decision-making.
