    Description

    TTaylor Engineering is currently seeking an entry-level Water Resources Engineer to work remotely or in any of our Florida locations (Jacksonville, Tampa, or Destin). The Water Resources Engineer will work with our Federal Programs supporting FEMA MT-2 Program - Letter of Map Revisions. This is a nation-wide project and will accomplish the mission through hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, model review, quality control, spatial data development and analysis, map production, and watershed management programs.

    Requirements

    A qualified candidate will possess the following:

    1. Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (or related engineering field), with emphasis in water resources
    • 0- 5 years water resources-related experience
    • EIT registration preferred and ability and desire to obtain a Professional Engineer (PE) license

    Preferred Candidate Characteristics

    • knowledge of hydrology, open channel hydraulics, and groundwater processes
    • and experience with ESRI Arc GIS, especially ArcGIS PRO, as well as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, FLO 2D, SWMM, ICPR, MIKE SHE / 11 / HYDRO is preferred
    • written and verbal communication skills
    • detail-oriented team player
    • Ability to communicate effectively with remote employees and other offices
