- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering is required.
- 8+ years of strong experience in mechanical engineering/project management
- Autodesk Inventor/Creo/Solidworks, FEA/CFD
- 8+ years of oil field experience.
- Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE)
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
- Advanced and diversified knowledge of engineering principles and aspects.
- Developing experimental test programs.
- Understanding the analysis of failures.
- Understands theoretical calculations.
- Willingness to target minimum viable product to align with program objectives.
- Ability to perform comprehensive analysis of critical components to eliminate possible failure modes.

Responsibilities:Weatherford is hiring a Senior Engineer for our West Hardy Road facility in Houston, TX.
The Senior Mechanical Engineer, at an advanced level, must have demonstrated knowledge of performing fundamental engineering tasks including: strength of materials, stress analysis, simple and complex torque, tension, compression, combined loading problems, material selection, cost estimation and tolerance studies. Will work individually and as part of a team. The team consists of product line engineers and managers in order to identify and enable product improvements, standardization, certification, etc. Support management and perform various other duties and activities as assigned within the physical constraints of the job.
