    Job Location: Winston Salem, NC branch office

    Job Summary:

    Manage and optimize the month-end close process while contributing to the daily operations of the accounting department. Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Lead and complete month-end close process
    • Supervise and/or manage general ledger accounting function
    • Review/prepare account reconciliations monthly to ensure accounts are properly supported
    • Prepare preliminary month-end financial statements for Controller review
    • Perform adhoc accounting project work as needed
    • Prepare weekly cash forecasts integrating trend data and performance expectations
    • Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end
    • Assist in annual financial audit
    • Work closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams to facilitate efficient close process

    Job Qualifications:

    • Associates degree or Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Experience with NetSuite and other ERP systems.
    • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion being in a supervisory role
    • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving result
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written forms to produce reports and presentations
    • Proven record of assessing data, identifying opportunities and developing recommendations

    Work Environment:

    Must be able to communicate both verbally and in written form to express and exchange ideas. While performing the responsibilities of this job, the employee must be able to access all components of workstation and other office equipment. Frequent typing, writing, bending, and twisting. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds.

    General office environment with moderate noise. This position is mostly sedentary, involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. A busy environment with many unscheduled interruptions. Frequent computer use at workstation for extended periods of time. Public contact position requiring appropriate business apparel.
