- Provide leadership and guidance on psychiatric policy, procedure, and treatment protocols to ensure alignment with best practice.
- Oversee other psychiatrists, CRNP, and CNA (as applicable).
- Consult with clinical staff and any identified supports to coordinate care and ensure a whole-person approach to treatment.
- Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed, biopsychosocial evaluations to clarify diagnosis, complete level of care assessments, determine the appropriateness of psychotropic medication, or to otherwise establish a more comprehensive treatment plan for individuals enrolled in programs at Intercommunity Action.
- Provide compassionate and trauma-informed psychoeducation so that individuals can make the most informed choices about their care.
- Administer and monitor psychotropic medications as psychiatrically indicated.
- Provide routine medication management to all individuals.
- Promote integrated care by consulting with primary care physician and other healthcare professionals.
- Meet performance standards, including a minimum billing expectation of at least 50% of the hours scheduled to work. All progress notes need to be entered by the end of the business day on Fridays in order to have met this minimum expectation.
- Refer for specialty care services, lab, radiology, and any other ancillary services that are appropriate for the individual's care.
- Complete all documentation in a timely manner and maintain clinical records in accordance with State regulations, Agency policies and procedures and managed health care requirements.
- Participate in clinical team meetings.
- Complete training as mandated by local, state, and federal regulations.
- Practice in full compliance with agency policy and applicable laws and regulations.
- Participate in Interact's Compliance Program including reporting suspected violations of the compliance program or applicable laws or regulations to Compliance Officer.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Medical degree with active license to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Board certified in psychiatry.
- Completed Residency in General Psychiatry.
- Preference to candidates with proven knowledge and experience in both General Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Unrestricted federal DEA license.
- Comfortable utilizing electronic medical records for charting and prescribing purposes.
- Clearances in accordance with PA Acts 33 & 80.
