NiSource is Seeking individual to be part of team within finance organization tracking peer energy infrastructure, power and utility companies.

Role is quantitatively rigorous and requires building financial models, analysis of capital markets, tracking of operational, financial and transactional metrics of public and private industry participants.

Candidates must possess high level of curiosity and energy and have serious interest in a career in finance, capital markets and energy infrastructure.

This is a newly created position with a unique opportunity to engage with both internal teams across the organization up to and including CEO and CFO as well as external Wall Street analysts.

The position reports to the Director of Investor Relations. NiSource is an $11Bn market capitalization company with $25Bn in electric and gas utility infrastructure assets in 6 states.

Headquartered in Merrilville, IN and Columbus, OH, the company's Columbia Gas and Northern Indiana Public Service Company subsidiaries are among the fastest growing energy infrastructure stories in the industry.

Remote candidates residing within IN, OH, PA, KY, VA or MD considered, light travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
Build financial models, forecast and track industry peer valuation and other metrics

Support engagement with equity and fixed-income investors through calls, meetings and other interactions

Monitor equity and fixed income investor ownership trends

Track high-level industry, capital market and competitor developments, follow key policy, regulatory and customer and other events around the country and region

Support development of investor relations strategy, engaging with senior management, FP&A, regulatory and other areas of the company

Participate in all aspects of the quarterly earnings process including preparation of press releases, other earnings materials and conference call script

Participate in industry investor conferences and meetings

Position Education, Experience And Skills Required

BS required, Finance/Accounting or other quantitative field preferred

A minimum of 1 year experience, preferably in finance, capital markets, or accounting

Demonstrated ability to apply critical thinking and problem solving skills

Knowledge of capital markets

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain relationships across the organization and with external stakeholders

Outstanding verbal and writing communication skills

Self-starter with the ability to work collaboratively across functions

Excel proficiency
