- Serve as primary analytical liaison and expert financial planning resource for acute-care hospital leaders.
- Perform statistical, cost, and financial variance analytics to identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities. Works in partnership with site leadership to prepare annual plan, quarterly forecasts, and related comparatives/projections.
- Develop and maintain standard region-wide reporting and analytical packages for consistent content and optimal efficiency.
- Develop pro forma modeling for capital projects and ad hoc operational development scenarios to support decision making.
- Provide consultative financial support to site leaders; develop and deliver financial training for department managers.
- Support system-wide financial reporting, quarterly and annual forecasting assignments, leveraging various financial systems and data channels effectively.
- Coordinate content and update financial presentations for sharing performance insights with all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate closely with team and stakeholders; provide leadership of shared priorities and cross-functional projects.
- Identify and implement creative, insightful improvements to processes, workflow, and data as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- 3-5 years of accounting or finance experience.
- Experience in health care environment preferred.
- Experience working with healthcare and/or financial systems and databases, creating reports, queries, and dashboards is desirable; may include Essbase/Smart View, OAC/OBI, Business Objects, Tableau, PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Epic, or others.
- Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong accounting, organizational, and communication skills
