    Description

    Afterschool Program Director at a NYC Public School


    Our company is passionate about supporting participants' social and emotional growth through a variety of engaging activities that encourage student empowerment and foster compassion, understanding, and kindness.


    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and lead a diverse program staff
    • Manage all aspects of afterschool program operations
    • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders
    • Promote the program to increase enrollment
    • Communicate regularly with families, school administrators, and leadership
    • Ensure program compliance with regulations and policies
    • Provide professional development opportunities
    • Assess program quality and drive continuous improvement
    • Develop responsive and innovative programming
    • Demonstrate compassion and kindness to all

    Requirements:

    • Three years of experience working with children
    • One year of administrative or leadership experience
    • BA or BS diploma, preferably in education or related field
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong organizational, time management, and leadership abilities
    • Ability to work independently and in a team
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and G-Suite
    • Knowledge of budget management
    • Effective problem-solving and interpersonal skills
    • Capacity to handle high-pressure situations with composure
