    This Jobot Job is hosted by: As a company, we are an industry leading plastic manufacturing company. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team. You will play a crucial role in analyzing and reporting on the financial performance of our organization.

    You will be responsible for ensuring accurate cost accounting records, conducting financial analysis, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making.

    You will also be maintaining accounting processes to control and analyze the costs of business activities such as raw material purchases, job costs, and labor costs.

    Creates month end inventory reports for raw materials, scrap, finished goods, and uses those reports to book ending inventory details into the general ledger.

    Creates analysis on job costing, all plant related costs and maintains best practice operating/ accounting procedures.
    Planning, studying, and verifying the costs of business activity such as job costs, purchased raw materials costs, scrap.
    Lead the cost accounting portion of period-end closing processes and related analysis and coordinates with Corporate.
    Review, report and explain drivers of manufacturing performance, and trends.
    Participate in process improvement initiatives as well as aid in performing internal control guidelines and testing.
    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Finance
    Must have a strong understanding of cost systems, accounting principles, and accounting in a manufacturing environment
    Experience using ERP software. Experience with general ledger accounting and financial statement preparation
    Ability to forecast costs and analyze financial data
    Excellent financial analysis skills, including cash flow analysis
