    Senior Cost Accountant - Defined path to leadership

    Lincoln Search Consultants , a Forbes Best Professional Recruiting Firm, has been exclusively engaged in a search for a newly created Senior Cost Accountant role with a growing manufacturer with offices in Schaumburg, IL. This role will have the opportunity to build upon the existing framework and truly own the Cost function, establish SOPs and be a true change agent for our well - established client experiencing double digit growth the past 2 years and expected to have record '23.

    This role will report directly to the CFO and perform a host of responsibilities including, but not limited to:
    • Analyzing and reporting of PPV, Manufacturing variances, material usage and variances.
    • Analyze estimated to a actual labor and materials cost, lead and monitor inventory management including the annual physical count, cycle counts and adjusting inventory transactions.
    • Will work closely with the CFO in preparation and presentation of annual budgets, quarterly forecasting and reporting as well as publication, review and presentation of financial results to senior leadership.
    • Work closely with Engineering and plant leadership
    • Maintain the integrity of ERP systems, reporting, month end close
    Desired Experience
    • Degree in Accounting, Finance
    • CPA Preferred
    • 3+ years of Cost Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
    • Strong PC Skills including advanced Excel
    • Problem solving - ability to identify issues, gather and analyze data to resolve issues that may arise
    • Communication - ability to communication effectively both written and oral. This role will have significant interaction with the senior leadership
    • Desire for continued development and growth, hope is this role will transition into a leadership role - Assistant Controller/Controller level, within 18-24 months. Folks who have a long - term desire to stay in this role will not be a good fit
    • Major or Mid Market level ERP experience, highly preferred
    • BI Tools ie: Tableau, preferred but not required
