    Ellis Corporation, a fifth-generation, family-owned equipment manufacturer is looking for an experienced cost accountant to join their team Bring your skills to a successful, growing environmentally minded manufacturer that has been in business for over 125 years.

    How You'll Contribute:

    • Perform month end close including inventory, cost accounting, & cost of goods sold.
    • Prepare detailed gross margin analysis on sales, manufacturing costs, standard costs, and variances.
    • Prepare reports identifying and comparing factors affecting costs and profitability.
    • Work with Sales Engineers to monitor margin information on quotations, installations, recommend price/cost changes.
    • Maintain and improve processes related to manufacturing costs and inventory valuation.
    • Ensure accuracy of ERP data through analysis, internal controls, & coordination with inventory/production management.
    • Review & establish standard costing information for finished goods, WIP, and raw materials.
    • Analyze cost impacts related to design changes, raw materials, and other costs; revise BOMs and cost rollups.

    About YOU:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting
    • 3+ years of related cost accounting experience or public accounting experience.
    • Proven track record in analyzing, understanding, and explaining cost accounting information.
    • Experience with ERP and accounting systems.
    • Proficient with Excel, data modeling, and system tools.
