- 3 –5 years of Volume Residential and Multifamily, or Commercial construction experience.
- To perform this position successfully, an individual should have knowledge of spreadsheet, database, presentation and word processing software, including: Microsoft Office, Outlook, Gmail, Google docs, and Adobe.
- Be able to problem solve.
- Display and maintain a positive attitude and motivational atmosphere for division staff.
- Project a professional demeanor to clients and division staff.
- Maintain technical expertise in building science.
- Evaluate thoroughly to ensure sound decision making
- Familiar with foundation make-up in your area.
- An excellent knowledge of framing construction including, but not limited to truss roofs, loads, span tables, best practices and punch-out requirements.
- Familiar with Construction Finals, including an excellent working knowledge of appliances, plumbing, HVAC, roof, foundation, drainage, and electrical.
- Possess a strong attitude of what constitutes the quality of a completed home, or unit.
- Maintain strong planning, organizational and time management skills to handle all office and field operations. Reporting must be efficient and accurate.
- Also must have professional written and oral communication skills to effectively communicate with client field personnel as well as office staff. Must have the ability to evaluate and train superintendents in the field and future potential coworkers, with the assistance of the division Lead Rater, Lead QA and Senior Consultant.
- Must provide proof of automobile insurance in employee's name and valid Driver's License issued by the state of the local BCCI office.
- Must have reliable transportation suitable to carry ladders, or other bulky testing equipment. Transportation must be in good mechanical and cosmetic condition.
- Must maintain a neat, professional personal appearance including good personal hygiene.

Skills/Qualifications:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The description of Division Vice President is the following, but not limited to:
v Reports to the C.O.O., V.P. Operations and Executive V.P.
v Responsible for all field operations – accuracy of reports, field instruction to clients, and scheduling in the C.O.O. and V.P. of Operations absence.
v Manage all division personnel, including discipline, training and monitoring the quality of inspections. Perform Go-Behind audits and inspections of all consultants each month. Perform employee evaluations on a regular schedule.
v Complete monthly mileage and expense reports for the division.
v Assist the C.O.O., V.P. Operations and Executive V.P., at all stages of the hiring process for new personnel, including office and field interviews.
v Inspections, consulting, reporting and tracking as the C.O.O., V.P. Operations and Executive V.P. direct. Complete an inspection route as needed.
v Assist Multi-family consultant to attend pre-construction and kick-off meetings, erection of mock-ups and field observations as needed.
v The periodic requirement to walk on the roof as clients' needs dictate. You must be able to safely and confidently climb a ladder to a second story roof, walk on the roof to perform the inspection, and climb the ladder down. We do not walk on any roof with a pitch greater than 6/12.
v Perform Client relationship management through weekly contact with area managers, recording discussion topics, answering questions and rectifying client concerns.
v National Sales Director in full cycle Sales activities including: attendance at client sales meetings, assist Executive V.P. with proposals and contracts, contact area managers weekly, attend monthly report meetings as needed and make contact with prospective clients identified in the field.
v Any tasks, or special projects directed by the C.O.O., V.P. Operations and Executive V.P. that contribute to the growth and success of the company.

The employee is regularly required to have full use of eyes, hands, arms and legs must be able to speak and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must be capable of climbing through a 24" by 24" opening into attics from a step ladder and negotiating other tight spaces to perform inspections. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
The performance of this position will require regular exposure to on-site construction conditions requiring the use of personal protective equipment, such-as: hard hat, safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, brightly colored and reflective, safety apparel, footwear with durable soles and materials that prevent puncture by sharp objects and provide traction on wet, or slippery surfaces. Ambient weather conditions will cause exposure to heat, cold and wind resulting in dust exposure.
