- Assist to develop, integrate and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design
- Develop, maintain and modify basic structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle
- Perform tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
- Assist with supplier development, test and production activities and coordination with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals
- Supports investigation of emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry
- Experience with 3D modeling, 2D drawings and drawing packages
- Experienced (Level 3): 3 or more years' related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience
- Lead (Level 4): 5 or more years' related engineering work experience or an equivalent combination of education and engineering experience
- Experience in applying engineering processes and principles
- Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
- Military aircraft, weapons and/or commercial aircraft structures experience
- Experience with systems development and integration
- Experience with Model Based Engineering
