    ???? Hotels ???? ? ? ? 5 hours ago Post Date Executive Chef sought for exciting restaurant concept reopening in downtown Chicago. The SafeHoue, a spy themed restaurant and bar is looking for a creative, fun and dynamic culinary leader.

    The SafeHouse brand is 50 years old and recognized globally as an espionage-themed restaurant founded in Milwaukee, WI. Visiting agents [guests] experience pop culture references, spy paraphernalia and cold war artifacts. Our secret agent past and culture is an integral part of the intrigue

    **Additional Intel:** SafeHouse Restaurants operates clandestinely as a branch of Marcus Restaurants. Marcus brands are known to be synonymous with hospitality and exceptional customer service.

    Our passion extends past the plate and encompasses the people - our guests, our staff, and the community.

    **Essential Functions:**

    Purchase goods and manage cost controls

    Manage to a prime cost

    Enforce safe and sanitary food production standards

    Train and Develop Staff

    Assign in detail, specific duties to all associates under supervision

    Select, train and supervise kitchen staff in proper preparation of menu items

    Schedule culinary team so that proper coverage is maintained while managing payroll costs

    Ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature setting) usage and rotation of food products so as to comply with the Health Department regulations

    Preventative maintenance of kitchen equipment

    Perform other duties as assigned

    **Qualifications:**

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    3 5 years of kitchen/culinary leadership and/or management, past experience might include cook, chef, Sou Chef, Exec Sous, etc.

    Excellent communication skills

    ServSafe Certified

    Managerial or supervisory experience required

    Working knowledge of accepted safety sanitation standards

    Ability to read, write and understand the English language in order to complete orders, read recipes and communicate with other team members
