    Description

    Aster Hall is looking for a Food Hall Executive Chef to join their leadership team for the 900 N. Michigan Food Hall.

    The Food Hall consists of 30,000 square feet and will host various food and beverage outlets in one location showcasing a mix of Hogsalt's popular dishes. The salary for this role ranges from $85,000 to $100,000 depending on experience.

    The ideal candidate excels in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and is skilled at problem-solving. They must prioritize quality by consistently maintaining defined standards. Strong leadership qualities include practicing generosity and hospitality towards team members and guests, while effectively multitasking and managing workloads.

    Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Establish and optimize operational processes to support Back of House operations.
    • Contribute to developing an annual budget and business plan to set financial objectives and manage expenses.
    • Analyze weekly forecasts and plan staffing and cost allocations in line with projected sales and expenses.
    • Effectively communicate business goals to drive desired outcomes.
    • Formulate strategic short-term and long-term business strategies.
    • Proactively address and resolve potential issues.
    • Ensure cost-efficiency and conduct regular result analysis to address challenges promptly.
    • Set expectations, lead teams, manage processes, and ensure accountability.
    • Maintain open communication, provide guidance, support, timely feedback, and acknowledge performance.
    • Participate in management reviews, coaching sessions, and corrective actions.
    • Create development plans to help team members define career goals and acquire necessary skills.

    Experience and Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years experience in high-volume full-service restaurants.
    • Experience overseeing multiple units, managing a minimum of 5 properties.
    • Demonstrated success in leading and managing at least 50 employees simultaneously.
    • Flexible schedule with a willingness to adapt to changes.
    • Ability to inspire, motivate, and nurture employees.
    • Proven track record in building high-performing teams.
    • Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and maintaining professional communication.

    Salary: $85,000+ based on experience
