    Description

    We are seeking a Fleet Manager in North Carolina. This position is responsible for the lifecycle management of 200 Isuzu Delivery Trucks, managing fleet maintenance programs and service providers, defining delivery fleet specifications, FMCSA compliance, driver training programs, fleet safety program, and more. This role is also responsible for ensuring compliance with corporate policies, governmental regulations, and safe operating practices.**Job Description:**

    **Responsibilities** :

    Define the strategy for equipment acquisition and disposal. Manage ongoing equipment lifecycle

    Define equipment standards based on market requirements and service demands

    Manage fleet maintenance vendor(s), including establishing performance criteria, managing service delivery, and cost of service according to performance standards

    Responsible for approving all Vehicle Repairs for the entire fleet of 200+ trucks across the state of North Carolina

    Define equipment specifications and lead competitive purchasing processes to meet business requirements

    Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiencies. Lead initiatives to capture efficiencies

    Identify appropriate fleet service providers. Negotiate favorable service levels and costs

    Maintain fleet readiness to service year-round business demands

    Maintain and manage FMSCA regulatory compliance

    Prepare, maintain, and manage safety and service training for drivers in all locations

    Renewing fleet vehicle registration and obtaining registration tags for new vehicles

    Responsible for doing tuck inspections and generating a report

    Perform other duties as assigned

    **Specifications:**

    Four-year degree or equivalent work experience

    Successful experience managing large diesel fleets with units located in disparate field locations

    Strong negotiation and influencing skills. Demonstrated success with complex negotiations

    Expertise in diesel maintenance and managing maintenance service providers

    Diligent focus on business value. Professional service ethic

    Excellent professional communication skills

    Exceptional problem-solving and analytic skills

    Strong MS Word and Excel experience required; Workday software experience desired

    Ability to manage competing demands, frequent change, delays or unexpected events

    Ability to interact with all functional areas and organizational levels, often in stressful situations

    Proven leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
