Physical Therapy Assistant
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing treatment plans for patients
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist
- Instruct patients in exercises and activities to improve strength, flexibility, and mobility
- Provide handson assistance to patients during therapy sessions
- Educate patients and their families on proper techniques for athome exercises
- Maintain accurate and uptodate patient records
- Clean and sterilize equipment used during therapy sessions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift/move patients as needed
- Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and equipment used in physical therapy
