Jabil is seeking a Principal Network Engineer who will directly contribute to the transformative growth within our Cloud Enterprise and Infrastructure (CE&I) division by applying unique and innovative approaches to solving problems within a large-scale software production environment. The Principal Network Engineer plays a vital role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the test network infrastructure of the CE&I factories on a global scale, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process and customer satisfaction. You will be responsible for contributing to the end-to-end architecture, definition, development, and production deployment of test network infrastructure spanning multiple customers and manufacturing regions. You will also be responsible for interfacing with internal engineering, manufacturing and quality teams and our end customers to ensure your test network infrastructure deliverables meet the rigorous standards of Jabil's world-class manufacturing environments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities:

Planning engineering Infrastructure and Network strategies for the CE&I GCTD organization
Managing network with engineering departments in tasks like research and design
Determining Network goals and creating implementation plans
Providing expert advice for new projects and network changes
Assist with creating and managing infrastructure and network budgets.
Run large-scale Network and Infrastructure projects.
knowledge of data center architecture and maintenance functions.
Lead & oversee the implementation of newly deployed and purchased network solutions.
Ensure maximum availability of network and network resources to users and production applications.
Manages various network resources in support of business processing requirements.
Provides support for complex problems related to network and business-critical applications.
Involved in the evaluation and selection of network infrastructure technology.
Manages the architecture of Network infrastructure including, Wireless, BGP, OSPF, Firewalls, DHCP, Public DNS, SD-WAN, Cloud Service providers (OCI)
DR strategies, Network capabilities and functions.
Accountable for operational excellence, ensuring all systems are reliable, accessible, secure, and meet established SLAs / OLAs for both internal and external customers.
Supporting the goals of the company's technological alignment efforts
Seeking out and implementing continuous Network/Infrastructure improvement opportunities
Overseeing appropriate vendor relationships related to associated technologies, services, and solutions needed to operate enterprise functions.
Ensuring accurate and efficient governance policy deployment and adherence to networks, security, and infrastructure areas
Works closely with global network providers to ensure reliable and cost-effective solutions.
Implements and executes modern network solutions consistently across the enterprise

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS

This position requires formal training and at least 5 years of experience in Network Engineering and administration in an enterprise environment with over 10,000 users preferably in a publicly traded organization.
Expert knowledge in Network/ Infrastructure
Ability to establish performance-based relationships with 3rd party vendors and technology providers and versed in setting standards and measurements for IT processes.
Ability to effectively define a business case, determine the return on investment, and measure achievement of the case over time.
Ability to manage and work on multiple concurrent deliverables at various stages of development and completion.
Strong collaboration and team-building skills with the ability to create consensus around decisions and mitigate conflicts among teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Professional level verbal and written communication skills
Hands-on in-depth experience with, Wireless, BGP, OSPF, Firewalls, DHCP, Public DNS, SD-WAN, Cloud Service providers (OCI)

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

BS degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MS degree is preferred
years of experience in leading network infrastructure projects, network data center design, WAN Design, and creating/maintaining network diagrams and documentation
Experience with the use of Project Management methodologies and tools
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience working in a multi-site and multi-cultural environment
Domestic and/or international travel, up to 10%, may be required

Job-related, non-discriminatory factors used to determine the actual offered rate include qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity. The anticipated close date of this job requisition is: January 31, 2024. As part of the total rewards package, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive based on performance. In addition, Jabil offers benefits to enhance your health, wealth, and resilient self.
