    Description

    Position: Senior Backend Software Engineer

    Company: Innovative Gaming Solutions

    Join our team as a Senior Backend Software Engineer! We are looking for a skilled professional to take on the responsibility of building and enhancing the backend systems that drive our live service games. As part of our dynamic team, you will collaborate with designers, game programmers, and product managers to bring innovative ideas to life.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure backend game systems.
    • Focus on player accounts, matchmaking, leaderboards, achievements, in-game economies, and anti-cheat measures.
    • Ensure smooth launches, continuous content updates, and exceptional player experiences.
    • Integrate with external partner services and third-party technologies.
    • Write well-documented and maintainable code.
    • Conduct automated tests for high code quality.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain system stability.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 5 years of Backend Software Engineering experience with a launched title.
    • Proficiency in designing and deploying backend systems for online games.
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a customer-centric approach.
    • Expertise in backend programming languages like Kotlin, Java, Go, or C#.
    • Experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
    • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
    • Ability to develop and maintain RESTful APIs.
    • Familiarity with game development lifecycles and live ops best practices.
    • Team player with a passion for gaming and a drive for success.

    Additional Skills:

    • Experience with Kotlin and/or Pragma Engine.
    • Knowledge of matchmaking algorithms and game server management.
    • Proficiency with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
    • Skills in scripting languages like Python or Lua.
    • Familiarity with Unreal Engine and C++.
