Position Summary:
The Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (MIE) of the Newark College of Engineering at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) invites applications for tenure-track Assistant/Associate/Full Professors in Mechanical Engineering and related areas.
D. (or equivalent) degree, with a record of pertinent high-quality research. The specific areas of interest are as follows.
Robotics /Automation /Design and Manufacturing/
Artificial Intelligence:
Application of AI through "Big Data" and machine learning to mechanical engineering design and manufacturing.
Areas of interest include novel robotic systems; automation and control; novel sensors and actuators; applications in healthcare, rehabilitation, and assistive robotics; and product handling, storage and delivery.
Other pertinent interests include design theory, product design, and design for manufacturability.Essential Functions:
