    Description


    The Director, Deposit Marketing is a key role responsible for creating and executing strategies to attract, retain and grow deposit customers.

    This role involves developing product promotion campaigns, customer acquisition and retention initiatives, digital marketing efforts, and team leadership while ensuring regulatory compliance.

    Qualified candidates will have a strong marketing background specifically in the banking or financial services industry, leadership skills and a focus on results and profitability.

    Our client is seeking a Director, Deposit Marketing to manage acquisition and engagement activities to drive deposit growth for our retail and digital businesses.

    This highly visible and collaborative role works closely with leadership, marketing partners and business stakeholders to achieve household and deposit financial goals.

    This is a management role with 2 direct reports and an expectation of growth as our digital deposit business grows in the next 24-36 months.


    Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

    Key areas of responsibility include:
    Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure marketing efforts align with the overall business strategy. This includes executive and senior-level leadership.
    Develop and manage relationships with external partners and agencies who are critical to the execution of campaigns.
    Analyze market trends and client insights to inform marketing strategies.
    Develop and manage lead generation and nurture programs.
    Ensure product positioning align with Santander's overall US value proposition
    Set the annual learning agenda for deposit marketing across checking, high yield savings and CD products.
    Report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.

    Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices – always striving to achieve best-in-class performance while helping streamline operations, processes, and reporting.

    Maintain current knowledge of the products, services, and marketing techniques of competitors.
    Manage total campaign costs in accordance with budgets.

    Qualifications:

    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Marketing, Community Relations, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent field. (Req)
    Master's Degree in Marketing, Community Relations, Communications, Business Administration or equivalent field. (Pref)


    Work Experience:
    Marketing, 9-12 years (Req)
    Financial Services experience and/or experience in regulated industries., (Pref)


    Skills and Abilities:
    Ability to foster a positive and motivating work environment, encouraging feedback and innovation.
    Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills.
    Ability to work with and influence senior management.
    Ability to develop and execute effective marketing campaigns.
    Comfortable in a highly collaborative environment, with the ability to work within a team and in a matrixed environment.
    Must have excellent professional presentation skills, and the ability to interact and engage all levels of management/leadership.
    Ability to regularly evaluate workload and prioritize projects.
    Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
    Strong leadership, initiative and planning skills.
    Advanced knowledge of, and ability to use, all current graphic design programs and supporting creative programs.
