- Answer customer telephone calls and monitor email, faxes, and voicemail for customer orders.
- Enter customer orders into S2K (while on the phone) and confirm with the customer.
- Monitor profit margins on customer orders and contact customers for a possible increase if the order falls below the gross profit minimum.
- Advise customers of price increases
- Follow up on the status of back-ordered items and propose alternates to customers for items that are on backorder.
- Review open order reports weekly.
- Issue merchandise pick-up paperwork to issue credit memos.
- Check truck manifests daily.
- Verify receipt of signed delivery copy for all deliveries
- Make labels for products as needed by customers.
- Notify purchasing agents of a low quantity of pin stock item(s) when an order is placed.
- Prepare customer quotes and price lists for Account Representatives
- Prepare and track consignment warehouse billings.
- Send credit applications to customers, complete background checks, and forward them to the credit department for review and approval.
- Enter price increases and decreases in the system as needed.
- Advise customers of ETA on orders out for delivery
- Request and send samples to customers.
- Participate in year-end inventory.
- Visit customers with Account Representatives and assist them with obtaining new business as requested.
- Assist in the resolution of billing issues and contact suppliers to trace a purchase order, if purchasing agent is not available.
- Check the previous operating system (Synergy) for online orders placed that need to be re-entered into the current system (S2K)
- Perform other duties as assigned

- Proficient in navigating the internet and with various software and hardware.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent evidence of similar skills
- Prior customer service experience is preferred but not required.
