    Supervises preparation of documentation and work papers to support tax reporting for federal, state and foreign taxes. Trains junior staff on industry specific business and accounting matters

    Prepare federal and state corporate, individual, and partnership returns, including exercising professional judgment with respect to issue identification to develop solutions to tax issues in returns

    Successfully completes research on highly complex tax matters, demonstrating thorough knowledge of the problems, issues and best solutions in the circumstances


    Analyzes the tax costs, liabilities, and benefits and prepares documentation to support tax reporting for federal, state and foreign taxes.

    Manage people and functions through the following skills, but not limited to; coaching, decision making, problem solving, strategy & planning, delegation, leadership and team building

    Qualifications


    BA/BS/MS in Accounting or Tax from an accredited college or university (minimum of 150 college credits earned before start date).

    Must have CPA license or be eligible to sit for the CPA exam at time of hire

    Working knowledge of tax laws/Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

    4-8 years of relevant public accounting experience preferred; experience in tax provision a plus

    Basic technology skills with proficiency in Excel, Word & PowerPoint required.

    Working knowledge and experience with ProSystem Fx Engagement Tax, CCH Axcess, BNA Online, Sureprep, and Go File Room are a plus

    Working knowledge of federal and state tax compliance

    Strong verbal and written communication skills and be able to listen effectively

    Effective time management, organizational, and analytical abilities.

    Flexibility and openness to work on a variety of assignments; able to multi-task.

    Work well under pressure and with a team; able to meet deadlines with accuracy

    Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment while applying specialized proficiencies of a trained accountant

    Strong technical skills pertaining to tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence and tax research

    This compensation range is specific to certain locations and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

    Salary:
    $90, $110,000.00
