    What this Position Does: The Training Content Specialist is responsible for developing, designing, and curating training materials and resources for team members and management. The Training Content Specialist plays a crucial part in ensuring that team members are well-prepared to deliver excellent service and set team members up for success.

    The Day-to-Day Responsibilities This Person will be Overseeing:

    • Design and develop course content, including but not limited to measurable learning objectives, policies, scenarios, simulations, audio scripts, performance evaluations, reference glossaries, training manuals, knowledge assessments, and other materials.
    • Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions on content that has been created.
    • Author training material using authoring tools such as Articulate, Prezi, Canva, PowerPoint, etc.
    • Collaborate with the Training and Education Manager, Operations Team, and Subject Matter Experts to gather input and identify areas needing training team support. Plan refreshers and classroom training as necessary.
    • Collaborate with Training and Education Manager / Operations to design training content.
    • Work closely with the Training Team to integrate training materials into onboarding and ongoing training programs.
    • Adapt instructional materials created for one format to another format (usually from face-to-face to eLearning and virtual).
    • Upload, test, and maintain content in Grace Hill, the company LMS.
    • Create engaging training evaluation exercises to evaluate effectiveness and successful knowledge transfer.
    • Engage in supporting process improvement and quality assurance projects/initiatives.

    Qualifications Involved with the Position: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

    Computer Skills and/or Office Equipment Knowledge: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Yardi and RentCafe Database software; Design software; Internet software; and Google Suite knowledge is a plus.

    What Education and/or Experience You Will Bring to the Table: 2-4 years of experience in content creation, course design, and training; Instructional design and curriculum development experience; Multifamily Property Management experience is required; Yardi and RentCafe experience highly recommended.

    Communication Skills Involved with the Position: Ability to read, analyze, and build policies, procedures, and company processes. Ability to document processes, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to train effectively both in person and virtually.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
