    Description

    Job Description:

    • Maintains custody and security of prisoners and other incarcerated offenders, ensuring order in correctional institutions and detention facilities.
    • Enforces all institutional policies, rules, procedures, and regulations.
    • Ensures compliance with rules, regulations, and state laws for offender control and public safety.
    • Escorts offenders during transit and temporary leaves.
    • Secures facility entrances and screens visitors.
    • Handles and trains canines for various tasks such as tracking, search, rescue, guard duty, and contraband detection.
    • Inspects, inventories, and maintains control of keys, tools, weapons, and equipment.
    • Maintains discipline, order, and security in assigned areas following relevant regulations and laws.
    • Monitors offender behavior to prevent disturbances and escapes.
    • Supervises offenders during work, meals, and recreation.
    • Conducts patrols, reports issues, and responds to emergencies.
    • Transports offenders to different locations.
