- Act as the focal point for all sales activities at the Tier customers
Makes sales calls on selected key accounts and Tier 1 & 2 supplier levels dealing in Electrical Distribution Systems/Wiring Harnesses or Tubes, Hoses and Cables, to develop applications, gain content, and develop long-term relationships with key engineers and purchasing - Promote the sale of product by solicitation at the Design Engineer level.
- Develop strategic sales plans designed to further grow the business at the tier customers responsible for manufacturing Wire Harnesses and Tubes, Hoses and Cables through new product development and core products
- Build sales volume of existing products and search for new opportunities or design variations of new products utilizing both our textile and non-textile technologies
- Ensure all opportunities are captured and followed up in Sales Force
Responsible to report out KPI's for CRM to NA Sales Manager, Tiers - Build sales volume of existing products, and search for new opportunities on design variations or new products, utilizing our textile and new technologies
- Manage and build effective relationships with customers' Engineering, Materials and Purchasing departments, as well as intercompany departments
Assist with plant trials, quality issues and supply problems - Support sales effort by providing samples, data, pricing and product application information
Successfully introduce new products to customers - Participate in product/marketing strategies, trade shows & new product development, and have ability to give and develop product presentations
- Interact internally at plant level with departments such as Quality, Customer Service, Materials, and Engineering
- Capable of providing support as requested by supervisor
- B.S
degree in Business, Marketing or Engineering, or equivalent experience. - Preferred 7-10 years Automotive market sales experience - Electrical Distribution Systems a plus
- Experience with Automotive Industry both at an OEM and Tier level a must
- Experience working with strategic planning, product positioning, competitive analysis and revenue improvement required
- EV experience at the OEM level
- Experience working with CRM (SalesForce) a plus
- Proactive, innovative, self-starter with excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels in the organization
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated ability to solve customer problems
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Powerpoint, Excel, Word)
- Foreign language skills, Spanish, helpful
