    The Home Builders Association (HBA) of Greater Austin is a leading not-for-profit trade organization dedicated to residential construction and remodeling in Central Texas. Since 1953, the HBA has worked with government, public, business, and community organizations in six counties - Bastrop, Caldwell, Hays, Lee, Travis, and Williamson. Our mission is to advance the practice and professionalism of the home building industry, with the vision of creating homes and communities that enable people to thrive.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time hybrid role as the Director of Meetings at the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin. The Director of Meetings will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all association meetings and events. This includes managing the logistics, budgeting, and vendor relationships for conferences, seminars, workshops, and social events. The Director of Meetings will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful and engaging experiences for attendees.

    Qualifications

    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Experience in event planning and execution
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software
    • Knowledge of the residential construction industry is a plus
    • Bachelor's degree in communications, hospitality management, marketing, or related field is preferred. Experience to commensurate.
