General Notes

Primarily remote with expectation to work on-site as needed for meetings, events, and other job-related assignments. Remote hours are M-F from 8am-5pm CST.

This position will occasionally be required to work additional hours or weekends to complete time-sensitive projects, attend events.

Position duration is for 2 years, with the possibility of renewal/continuation.

Purpose


The Center for Health Interprofessional Practice and Education serves as the central leadership and coordinating unit that advances interprofessional education (IPE) programming for students, faculty, and practitioners from the health professions schools at the university.

The Administrative Program Coordinator reports to the Director and Assistant Director to support the Center's mission and goals.

Key support categories include, but are not limited to, coordinating curricular IPE programming, coordinating events, supporting program evaluations, assisting with communications, website, and social media, supporting committees and partnerships, and coordinating purchasing and business operations in support of the Director, Assistant Director, and overall program.


Responsibilities:


  • Curricular IPE Programming: Assists the development, implementation, and maintenance of educational programs for students and other advanced learners (e.g., medical residents and fellows), builds and manages Canvas course sites, and tracks student completion of assignments.
  • Event Planning: Coordinates with relevant departments and vendors to plan events, trainings, and workshops, including venue reservations, catering, parking validation, and other logístical support. Assists in the execution of events. The center leads 1315 events annually.
  • Center Operations: Schedules meetings, supports universitylevel committees and task forces, prepares materials for meetings and programming, assists with database management, coordinates the awarding of microcredentials, and supports other tasks related to office operations, purchasing, and travel.
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree- Experience coordinating or administering a program- Proficient with Microsoft Suite Products (Word, PPT, Excel, Outlook)- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively- Must be organized and self-motivated- Must be comfortable with Zoom almost daily; must have a remote work environment that supports daily professional Zoom meetings with no distractions

  • Relevant experience and education may be substituted as appropriate._
Preferred Qualifications- Experience at UT Austin or other higher education administrative experience- Experience with Interprofessional Education- Experience with graphic design and using apps such as Canva

Salary Range- $50,000 + depending on qualifications
