- Develop precise cost estimates for civil construction projects related to renewable energy developments.
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and documents to prepare comprehensive and competitive bids.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather essential information for accurate estimations.
- Conducting in-depth cost analysis, considering material, labor, equipment, and overhead costs.
- Evaluating potential risks and uncertainties associated with projects and incorporating contingencies into estimates.
- Staying informed about market trends, pricing, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and accurate estimates.
- Preparing and submitting well-organized and professional bid packages according to project requirements and deadlines.
- Collaborating with the business development team to review bid strategies and ensure alignment with company goals.
- Sourcing and negotiating with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
- Maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors to enhance the company's competitiveness.
- Develop compelling proposals highlighting our strengths and capabilities.
- Ensure that proposals align with project specifications and requirements.
- A Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in the construction industry, focusing on renewable energy projects.
- Strong understanding of civil construction processes, including earthwork, drainage, and utilities.
- Proficiency in estimating software, including HeavyBid, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.
