    Preconstruction Project Manager / Estimator

    Responsibilities:

    • Perform initial site visit
    • Confirm existing conditions and needs
    • Meet with client to determine specific project goals and requirements
    • Develop budget template
    • Review third party reports and ensure that requirements are met within scope of work
    • Meet with subcontractors to relay required scope of work
    • Obtain and review sub bids for accuracy
    • Build and update budget and scope
    • Review plans and revisions throughout bidding process, make adjustments to scope and budget as necessary
    • Guide and oversee matrix walks
    • Perform subcontractor walks and thoroughly relay scope of work
    • Solicit multiple bids in order to maintain competitive pricing
    • Research and approach new subcontractors as needed, work with Pre-Qualification team to set up new subs and vendors
    • Assist with schedule and sequence development
    • Manage a portion of contract paperwork
    • Lead conference call on behalf of MFRG-ICON
    • Introduce and work with Project Manager to familiarize them with the upcoming project and scope of work
    • Obtain complete and correct submittals from subcontractors, hand off to Project Engineers
    • Work with Project Engineer through submittal and approval process
    • Respond to and revise submittals at architect and owner's request
    • Ensure that any cost implications are reflected and updated in budget
    • Maintain communication with owners and architects throughout project development
    • Maintain plan links and ensure that accurate plans are shared with subs for bidding purposes
    • Ensure that client's expectations and deadlines are met
    • Oversee and delegate duties to Preconstruction Project Engineers
    • See project through internal handoff to construction team
    • Perform periodic site visits throughout construction to confirm that design intent is being realized

    Qualifications:

    • 3 - 5 years of experience in construction area
    • Strong project management and communication skills
    • Ability to read construction documents
    • Familiarity with regulatory construction standards
