    Are you a successful event salesperson with an established track record looking to take that next step in an exciting innovative environment?

    Baptie & Company is one of the leading companies in the world specializing in delivering high level events and communities focused on the Channels in the IT/Telecom industries. Our goal is to be the number one source for industry trends as well as best practice and how to information. We are currently recruiting for a dynamic, highly motivated, passionate and confident person to develop sales for our events and communities.

    You will be working directly with our CEO in helping him develop new sponsorship opportunities. This is an exciting role that will suit someone who is both a successful event salesperson as well as being creative, innovative and highly organized. You will be involved in all aspects of the business from business strategy and management to new business development. This role will involve travel within the USA.

    Desired Skills and Experience

    Line responsibility: This Position will report directly to the CEO

    Duties: The duties of the Event Sales Manager will be:

    • Using our CRM, web and other capabilities to target the key players likely to sponsor events, conferences and communities.
    • Selling using multiple techniques; e-mail, social, remote, telephone and face to face, the event and sponsorship opportunities.
    • Working with the marketing team to promote sales vis e-mail, social, etc
    • Creating innovative new event and sponsorship options
    • Involving other key executives in the sales process as required.
    • Ensuring that all event and sponsorship sales targets are met
    • Helping manage our exhibitors and sponsors to ensure we over deliver on their expectations
    • Handling all the pre and post conference account management for exhibitors and sponsors including training, attendance, post event monitoring, etc.
    • Helping on-site as part of the team working on events, conferences, etc.

    Essential skills: Proven event sales track record, self-motivation, must be a fast learner, must demonstrate the highest level professional sales standards and must be able to sell comfortably at a high level, must be computer and net literate and must be able to work as a team-member. Candidates should have a proven ability to organize and work in a detail driven environment, excellent presentation skills together with the ability to think on your feet.

    MUST be able to travel at short notice.

    OTE $140,000+
