- Support the campus in a multi-tiered system of behavior supports by providing the following: whole-
school behavior interventions and preventions, intensive interventions for students with significant
challenges, best practice models of behavior and discipline, social emotional learning, and restorative
discipline practices. - Employ a variety of behavior techniques consistent with the needs and capabilities of students.
- Collaborate with other members of the staff in planning and implementing behavior instructional goals,
objectives, and methods in accordance with district initiatives. - Analyze and disaggregate data to assist in meeting the behavior/academic needs of students.
- Plan and assist instructional aides and staff in the in-school suspension program.
- Assist students in analyzing and improving methods and habits of appropriate behavior.
- Assess the accomplishments of students on a regular basis and provide progress reports as required.
- Support a learning environment that is appropriate to students' behavioral needs.
- Manage student behavior in accordance with policies and the Student Code of Conduct.
- Implement preventions and interventions to support a safe learning environment for students and staff.
- Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents required in a timely manner.
- Establish and maintain open lines of communication and maintain a professional relationship with students, parents, colleagues, and community members.
- Use acceptable communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
- Adhere to district organizational chart in communication with all constituents.
- Present for students a positive role model that supports the mission of the district and demonstrate
- behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible as set out in the Texas Educator Code of Ethics.
- Participate in professional learning activities to improve job-related skills and demonstrate interest and
- initiative in professional improvement.
- Keep informed of and comply with polices and state, district, and school regulations.
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and serve on committees as required.

REPORTS TO: Principal
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: As assigned per contract, school year
Primary Purpose:
This is a State Compensatory Education funded position, providing compensatory, intensive, and/or
accelerated instruction and services to students identified as at-risk. Provide students with appropriate
learning activities and experience in the core academic subject area assigned to help fulfill their potential for
intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to
function successfully in society.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification
Bachelor's Degree from accredited university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsements or required training for subject/level assigned
Special Knowledge/Skills
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
Strong organizational, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills
Experience:
Minimum of three years' successful teaching experience or related work experience
Crisis Prevention Intervention Non-Violent Physical Training (6 hour initial and 3 hour annual refresher),

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
