    Under the direction of the Executive Vice President Student Success, oversees the day-to-day operations of the campus and coordinates all campus-level activities and services with the EVP and district Vice Presidents (VPs). Responsible for the regional campus budget. Establishes collaborative strategies with all VPs to ensure the College achieves its stated mission, paying particular attention to the unique strengths, characteristics, and focus of each regional campus.

    As a regional campus operations leader, supports the EVP in developing partnerships in collaboration with community organizations in business, industry, education and government and represents the College to the public and all its diverse constituencies. Provides input to the EVP and VPs on new academic programs and student services that align with the College's mission, goals, and unique needs of the regional campus constituencies. Applies data-informed decision making (DIDM) and continuous quality improvement (CQI) in planning and implementing strategies to achieve division and department goals. Serves as a campus-level change agent for diversity, equity, inclusion, and multiculturalism as well as innovation, collaboration, legal compliance, and data analysis.

    Leads the development, implementation and ongoing evaluation of comprehensive data-informed, research-based plans designed to attract and support MATC students through completion. Develops, fosters, and maintains a positive learning environment for students, forges strong relationships with district administrators and represents the campus to the local community.

    The Campus Executive Director will also be called on to oversee various special projects and programs for the College.

    Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities
    • Student Experience Management: Develops and maintains a campus environment that ensures the quality and consistency of the student experience. Assists District and department administrators in operational and supervisory duties; collaborates with other Vice Presidents and Deans to provide overall direction for the planning and development of programs, courses and class schedules to offer curriculum that meets the diverse needs of the communities served at respective campus.
    • Scheduling and Operations: Collaborates with the formal and informal supervisors regarding the day-to-day operations of all campus general student services operations. Provides input and collaborates with the EVP, VP of Learn and the pathway deans on course offerings, class scheduling, and faculty assignments. Supervises and implements all non-academic and academic room scheduling at the campus level in collaboration with the VPs of Enrollment and Retention and the VP of Learn and the deans (academic). Responsible for leasing and rental of campus facilities and supports the EVP in coordinating for campus-level facilities planning and design.
    • Goal Attainment and Regulatory Compliance: Collaborates with the EVP, VPs of Enrollment and Retention, and Learn in student recruitment, FTE goal attainment, retention, and overall student success initiatives and efforts. Prepares reports for local, state, or federal agencies as needed.
    • Process Creation and Standardization: In partnership with the EVP, and District Vice Presidents and Deans, formulates, recommends and implements plans, policies, and practices. Using WE CARE Service Excellence Standards, responsible for ensuring culture of student experience and student-centered success including, but not limited to, systems, processes and procedures as well as building effective cross-functional teams. Coordinates with Public Safety and local law enforcement officials to review and maintain polices which provide a safe teaching, learning and work environment for students, faculty and staff.
    • Committee Participation and System/ Community Engagement: Participates in cross-functional committees and organizes, reviews, and debriefs meetings among stakeholders. Supports the EVP and VP, External Relations to serve as the campus lead in developing and maintaining partnerships with other educational institutions, both secondary and post-secondary, to promote dual credit, transfer agreements, communication, and cooperative planning. Supports the EVP and takes direction to serve as campus chief spokesperson and educational resource for campus community.
    • Budget Planning and Administration: Prepares, allocates, and oversees campus-specific budget office personnel and operating budgets to ensure appropriate expenditures consistent with office needs, goals, and objectives. Monitors budget activity.
    • Ethics and Confidentiality: Practices honesty by demonstrating a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles, values, truthfulness and accuracy in all actions. Addresses all student and employee behavior in a confidential and respectful manner.
    • Cross Functional Relationships and Collaborative Teamwork: Establishes, maintains, and enhances positive work relationships with staff, faculty, administrators, and departments (e.g. Registrar, Admissions, Academic Affairs, Instructional Units, and Business Office, etc.) Collaborates with campus stakeholders to identify and implement interventions that directly support enrollment, retention, and matriculation of students.
    • Leadership and Supervision: Develops and manages high performing teams and highly skilled and motivated staff focused on the delivery of quality and value-added services and allocates cross-functional responsibilities and work processes. Responsibilities include hiring, coaching/mentoring, performance management, and progressive discipline as needed.
    • Continuous Learning & Professional Development: Maintains up to date with federal and state regulatory updates, impact reports, financial aid literature, training manuals, audit guides, institutional reports, professional publications (e.g., Student Aid News, NASFAA Journal, WASFAA and MASFAA newsletters, Chronicle of Higher Education). Actively organizes and/or participates in applicable workgroups, trainings, workshops, seminars, committees and professional associations or conferences to promote continuous learning.

    Qualifications

    Compliance with all state, federal, and accreditation standards/requirements, as well as all MATC policies and procedures.

    Required Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Higher Education, or related field; and a minimum of seven (7) years of relevant experience. Three (3) years of management or supervisory experience of professional staff.

    Preferred Education & Experience: Master's degree in related field and ten (10) years or more of relevant experience. Four (4) years or more of management or supervisory experience of professional staff.

    Provides recommendations on hiring new employees; coaching and counseling; training; and granting time off.

    Supplemental Information

    Start DateThis position reports to the Executive Vice President, Student Success and is available immediately.

    HoursThis position is a 1.0 FTE or 40 hours per work week. Hours are normally business hours Monday through Friday from 8am - 4:30pm. Candidate must have the ability to work additional hours based on business necessity. May need to attend campus events during non traditional work hours on occasion.

    SalarySalary is listed to the midpoint of the salary range and is based on the 2023/2024 rates and are determined by years of experience credit and internal salary equity.

    Health Insurance
    • MATC offers a choice between two medical insurance plans. See below for plan types:
      • Low Deductible PPO
      • High Deductible PPO
  • Upon selection, the coverage begins the first of the month following start date. You will have 30 days from your start date to enroll.
  • MATC contributes a generous percentage towards medical insurance premium.
  • Both medical plans include prescription drug coverage at no additional cost to employees.
  • Employees are offered an option to enroll in a Health Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA) with the selection of the Low Deductible PPO plan.
  • Employees are offered an option to enroll in a Health Savings Account (HSA) with the selection of the High Deductible PPO plan with employer contributions.
  • Dental Insurance
    • MATC offers a group dental plan through Delta Dental.
    • Upon selection, the dental insurance plan coverage begins the first of the month following start date.
    • Annual maximum per covered person is $2,500; plan covers preventive, routine, restoration, and has an orthodontic benefit for dependents up to age 19.
    Vision Insurance
    • MATC offers a group vision plan through Superior Vision..Upon selection, the vision insurance plan coverage begins the first of the month following start date.
    • Plan covers eye exam, frames, lenses and contact lenses.
    Group Life Insurance
    • MATC offers group term life insurance benefits through Madison National Life Insurance Company effective the first of the month of start date and is fully paid for by the College. The amount of insurance is based upon the employee's annual earnings rounded to the higher $1, The benefit is doubled in the event of accidental death.
    • Supplemental Life Insurance is also available at group rates for employees, spouses, and dependents to purchase.
    Long-Term Disability
    • MATC offers long-term disability insurance through Madison National Life Company after 30 days of employment and is fully paid for by the College. Benefits provided are equal to 66 2/3% of base monthly earnings.
    Flexible Spending Accounts
    • MATC offers two types of Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA):
      • Health Care FSA
      • Dependent Care FSA
  • This type of benefit allows employees to set aside pre-tax dollars per calendar year for a variety of medical, dental, and vision expenses (for a Health Care FSA) and for day care expenses for children under 13 or family members that are dependent on you for more than half their support (for a Dependent Care FSA) up to a maximum amount.
  • Retirement Savings
    • Regular full-time employees of MATC who are hired for greater than 12 months become members of the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS)'s pension system as of day one of employment. The College currently pays the full cost of the employer contribution (6.8%), and the employee pays the full part of the employee contribution of 6.8% of salary. There is a five year vesting period requirement in order to qualify for any employer contributions made on the employee's behalf. Contribution rates are subject to change annually as set by the State.
    • In addition to the WRS pension account, employees may enroll in other optional retirement savings plan such as a 403(b) account or a 457 account on a pre-tax or post-tax basis.
    Sick Leave
    • MATC offers employees a generous sick leave plan per year.
    • Each employee may accumulate up to 165 days of full sick leave with an unlimited accumulation of half pay sick leave.
    Vacation
    • MATC offers a vacation policy to employees for the purpose of rest and relaxation.
    • Vacation is earned at a generous rate each year of employment. (Not available for Instructors)
    Paid & Flexible (Floating) Holidays
    • MATC offers 12 paid holidays for non-Faculty positions and 7 paid holidays for Faculty positions.
    • MATC provides two flexible (floating) holidays per employee per year. (Not available for Instructors).
    Tuition Benefits:
    • Employees are eligible for tuition reimbursement and waiver after completing probationary period.
    • Amount allowed per fiscal year is 18 credits at MATC or $1,400 at other accredited institutions.
