FAA Covered Position/em/ppstrong /strong/ppstrongRole Summary/Purpose:/strong/ppLead the development and deployment of a plant wide lean culture, including Hoshin Kanri strategy deployment, problem solving, visual management, Lean process development, and Lean training.

Work with Plant Leadership team to establish a customer-based improvement strategy, which drives safety, customer responsiveness, lead time reduction, quality improvement, and cost reductions in line with business/functional objectives.

/strong/pulliCreate the Lean vision and implement a Lean strategy to reduce inventory, lead time, and waste./liliLead plant-wide training and deployment of practical problem-solving methodology./liliCreate and lead performance management reporting through Lean visual management methods to improve SQDC./liliSupport early integration of Lean principles in product design & process development for New Product Introductions./liliDrive measurable improvements in lead-time, customer delivery, productivity, and inventory./liliDevelop value stream maps and process swim-lane charts to identify process improvement opportunities and make improvement through practical problem-solving./liliEstablish and drive a Gemba walk methodology that drives cross-functional problem- solving on the shop floor./liliLead the preparation and delivery of Lean performance management initiatives and reviews with the plant leadership team./liliCoach, train and mentor site leadership on the fundamentals and principals of Lean Manufacturing & Management methods.

/strong/ppBachelor's Degree accredited college or university or a high school diploma / GED with a minimum of 5 years of experience in lean manufacturing leadership experience + Minimum of 5 years of lean manufacturing leadership experience./ppstrong /strong/ppstrongDesired Characteristics/strong/pulli5 years of experience leading Lean Action Workouts or other strategic cross-functional Lean improvement activities./lili5 years of experience in practical problem-solving methodology./liliStrong Lean performance management skills – Daily/weekly/monthly operating reviews, KPI development & management./liliStrong experience in the application of key Lean principles – JIT, 5S, Jidoka, Standardization, Muda removal 8 wastes, continuous process flow, pull, heijunka, visual control, respect for people./liliStrong communications and presentation skills – Meeting leadership, Microsoft PowerPoint and Teams./li/ulpstrong /strong/ppstrongPhysical Demands / Work Environment/strong/ppThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
