Description
The Category Procurement Buyer for Professional Services & HR, reporting to the Senior Category Manager, Secondary Packaging, will champion strategic sourcing activities for HR and professional services across the North America sites.
This position supports ~$50 million in annual spend and interacts with stakeholders across key functions such as HR, Finance, Sales, Marketing, Quality, R&D and EHS.
This position is responsible for the implementation of category sourcing strategies, including day-to-day interaction with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure an uninterrupted supply of quality goods and services at optimum cost.
The Buyer collaborates and works closely with other functions in the organization to implement Total Cost of Ownership improvement opportunities within the category.
This position negotiates pricing and terms with selected key suppliers; this position does not provide tactical planning or purchase order administrative support.
WHAT YOU GET TO DO
- Strategy Implementation (50%)
- Supports implementation of overall multiyear procurement strategies and translates the strategies into concrete action plans at the site level.
- Relationship Management (10%)
- Develops strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.
- Negotiation (20%)
- Manages the negotiation preparation and process as well as results.
- Analysis (20%)
- Provides analysis and recommendations for cost savings opportunities.

- Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with multiple stakeholders having, at times, conflicting needs and priorities.
- Proven process to develop supplier relationships in a way that encourages open dialogue and cooperating in identifying and implementing winwin situations that add value to both organizations.
WHAT WE WANT FROM YOU
- Bachelor's level degree or equivalent.
- Master's Degree as an advantage.
- 5 to 7 years of relevant work experience in Procurement, Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
- Working knowledge of purchasing processes and supplier quality systems.
- Experience with Lean, Six Sigma process improvement methodologies or similar as an advantage.
- Expertise / mastery in desktop analytical tools (excel, databases, tableau or equivalent).
- SAP and/or other ERP systems experience as an advantage.
- Demonstrated excellent negotiation skills, with focus on identification of the winwin scenarios.
- Proven problemsolving ability to be given an issue and to work backwards to identify resolutions.
- Strong action/results orientation with the ability to work with mínimal oversight, to be selfmotivated and proactive in achieving individual/team objectives.
Pay:
$75, $95,000.00 per year
