    Senior Fund Accountant

    Full description


    Venture capital firm that invests in growth-stage technology companies primarily by providing structured liquidity to founders, senior executives, early investors, and early employees.

    Founded in 2011 with almost $2 billion in assets under management, we've built a portfolio of increasingly dominant companies in areas as diverse as space exploration, freight forwarding, ridesharing, e-commerce, and human resource management.

    Our investment partners include a mix of seasoned venture capitalists and experienced entrepreneurs.

    Position Description

    Looking for a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. The Senior Accountant will assist the CFO, Controller, Accounting Manager

    Position Responsibilities

    Verify the accuracy of invoices and facilitate the accounts payable/receivable process
    Liaise with service providers (fund administrator, audit and tax teams, etc.)
    Assist with the quarterly and annual financial statement audits, tax returns and regulatory/compliance filings
    Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other transactions for funds as well as management company
    Process and review transactions related to the Funds' investments and expenses
    Monitor banking activity and process/review transactions as needed including wire transfers and line of credit requests
    Assist with the review of credit card transactions and reconciling items
    Assist with the preparation of company budgets
    Maintain organized and thorough accounting documentation
    Perform other related tasks or projects as assigned

    Experience Requirements

    Bachelor's degree in Business or Accounting
    2-4+ years of professional experience
    Highly organized and strong attention to detail
    Superb verbal and written communication skills a must
    Experience with QuickBooks not necessary but a plus
    Ability to self-manage and work with teams located out-of-state
    Strong problem solver with a willingness to learn and take on challenges and prioritize
    Strong and demonstrated interest in Accounting and Finance
